Overview:
Anam Naqvi and Igor Oliveira bring their first work-in-progress comedy show to Rotterdam!
Join us on Friday 25th September, for "Good Damage" by Anam Naqvi and Igor Oliviera at The sun, Teilingerstraat 126, close to the Rotterdam Centraal station.
This is a debut comedy show by two up-and-coming comedians from Utrecht. A show about embracing change.
About the Show:
How do two misfits become relatable with their quirky words? Anam and Igor turn life's cruel jokes into high-stakes hilarity for your entertainment (and their sanity). Watch them take a cheeky dig on social wreckage. Two comedians and one evening of "Good Damage".
The Good Damage comedy split bill (one show, two comedians) is an attempt at zooming out. It's about stepping back from the microscopic chaos of life to find the absurdity hiding in plain sight—like those moments that seem disastrous but turn out to be just ingredients in the grand recipe of ridiculousness.
We zoom out from often tumultuous experiences in close-up to shine a comedic perspective on life's bitter lemons. We zoom out from the feeling of dread to highlight how silly societal expectations are—untangling the web of "shoulds" and "musts." We zoom out from our relationship with our bodies to celebrate the mundane miracle of being a body in the world, complete with its quirks, complaints, and unexpected capabilities.
Come laugh at the human condition with us, where the close-ups are messy but the wide shots are hilarious.
About Anam:
Indian-born, Utrecht-based fresh talent, bringing sharp perspectives that oscillate between the serious and the whimsical, tied together through imagery. If you are wondering what all that means, come watch Anam at Good Damage.
Anam was named among the Top 10 new comedians of 2025 in the Netherlands by Tiny Underground Newbie Award. She has opened for Greg Shapiro, Sharon Em and Sundeep Bhardwaj.
About Igor:
Igor is a Brazilian comedian who brings his nerdy vibes on top of expected spicy jokes. He’s been working on the scene for a few years now and is not afraid of going from philosophical to silly in the same sentence. Igor has also opened for popular Portuguese comedians.
